You would think that for a set of strips subtitled “Trinity”, there would only be 3 parts. We aren’t actually going for 3 strips in a series but leaning to the actual meaning of Trinity as in the 3 in 1.

We want to thank you for the support in this last year since we relaunched because it’s been great. You’ve been great. We’ve been great. It’s great. And because it’s the holidays (and every thing is so great), we’re going to take a couple weeks off for the holidays but we’ll have a little something for everyone next Monday as well. Thanks so god damn much for the last 4 months and the last 2 years of Nick and Dooie.

For now, be sure to pop over to the Blog and get your Christmas card from NaD (everyone loves an acronym for nuts right?) and send it to your whole family. It’s the holidays, they have to still love you, regardless of your poor taste in Christmas cards.

We wish we could remember what we said on the first Trinity (But here’s a reminder of that first strip) but when we migrated our site, we pretty much lost those early posts. Boring, yes but it would take a miracle from, well, you know, to recover those.(Editors Note: The power of prayer works!)

And my special lady friend in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
ripped open the shutters like a boss, and hopped up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid-time travel to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear?
But Uncanny X-Duders, and eight tiny wallabies’.

With two badass drivers, so lively and limp,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Dooie and St. Nick.
More rapid than lemurs and their wallabies’ they came,
And they whistled, and juggled, and called them by name;

“Now, Albert! Now, Arcee! Now, Brutus and Goldblum
On, Duder! On Jesus! On, Dante and on Randal!
To the top of the 7-11! To the top of the wall!
Now pour away! Pour away! Pour away all!”

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the Slurpee machine St. Dooie and St. Nick, came with a bound.

They spoke not a word but went straight to work,
And when they drained their Slurpees, they turned with a jerk.
And with no more frawg, they tossed the Spoon straw
And giving a nod, up the Slurpee machine they crawled.

They sprang to the sleigh, to the team they gave a squishy flop,
And away they all flew, like a fizzy soda pop.
But I heard them exclaim, as they drove out of line,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good time!”

It’s the Holidays and we won’t shy away from the ridiculous of the season. You won’t hear us pick a side between Christmas, Kwanza or those eight crazy nights of Hanukkah. We won’t bow to the Fox New’s War On Words because if you make us choose, we choose Festivus.

In a world that hates and fears us, our Slurpees and our powers are all that stands between them and our extinction.

And that’s a real drag man.

With close to 50 years of X-Men goodness, it’s a shame that it took so fucking long to get an amazing film (X-Men: First Class) with a pretty awesome cast. With the retconning of the first 3 films, to an extent, they introduced some pretty amazing mutants way out of continuity but we are curious, why don’t you see more mediocre mutants? Like the mutant power to do Taxes or being able to talk to Squirrels? We don’t know. We want to.

When you’re crossing the desert with a shit load of Israelites hot on your heels, do you really have time for a fight? 

I don’t have any idea but when Thunderdome! is declared, you get to it. This is a two parter and while it’s coming, I can’t promise it’s going to be next week. We had a pretty amazing X-Men strip on deck but an unfortunate accident with a blender and some magnetic powers put someone in the ER. Don’t worry, everyone’s A-OK. Except for Gandalf and Moses. Those guys are totally fucked in the sequel.

According to IMDB, Val Kilmer learned he was the new Batman while he was literally in a bat cave in Africa, doing research for The Ghost and the Darkness and he accepted the role without reading the script.

That’s a fucking shame because it could have been a much different decision. Batman Forever would still have been utter guano but at least Doc Holiday wouldn’t have been in it. And please, don’t buy that piece of shit. Go get the best Batman films ever made instead. Batman Begins [Blu-ray] and The Dark Knight (+ BD Live) [Blu-ray]

At any rate, you might have noticed (we hope!) that this week is a much different kind of “comic”. We decided to “animate” it in an old Animatic style from the 30′s were they just rocked the story boards into a semblance of a cartoon. We think it’s got that old style feel to it and hopefully you enjoy it. Please, comment and let us know if you’d like to see more of these.

We hope you enjoy the little cameo from Mr. Bluffkin and the implied bear cock, and not the actual thing. It’s good to see that past all the hate, Rush Limbaugh can come out on the other side and find a little happiness.

Now, a little whipped knowledge for something we call Love Connection. (NBC, please don’t sue.)

Love Connection ran from 1983 to 1994 and according to Chuck Woolery, out of the couples who met on the show, there were a total of 29 marriages, 8 engagements, and 15 children. Those are pretty terrible odds considering there was 22,000 couples on this bad boy, right?

You might notice that while the strip is called “We Love Woolery”, you’ll notice NO Chuck any where in the comic. But, why not just let you know what’s up with the Chuck. So, here goes…
