Nick and Dooie presents! The Cup of Time!

by But The Todd on February 22, 2013 at 3:50 PM

Welcome welcome!

This is a project that we had started a long time ago and just never got around to finishing it. It’s an interactive, touch enabled Choose Your Own Adventure slurpE-Book featuring your favorite Nick and Dooie. It’s best viewed in Adobe Acrobat (get that here) and it has multimedia elements. Just music, don’t freak. (You might need Flash to play these elements, get that here).

If there are any problems with the book, just email us over at the contact page and we’ll get those fixed.

Enjoy!

But The Todd

*Best viewed with Adobe Reader – Make sure you download it (Right click and Save As). The PDF Web viewer screws up the music links.

Fixed!

Pinkpocalypse – Da Looooove Connection

by But The Todd on January 31, 2013 at 7:48 PM

We were down for a while due to hosting changes, and while we waited for files to collate and stuff to gel, we decided it had been a while since we tossed out a card. Consider that the dreaded Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, here it is. A BRAND NEW Nick and Dooie Holiday Card.

Hornily yours,

But The Todd

While you’re at it, don’t forget the rest of them over at our store!

All of the Nick & Dooie Holiday Cards print at 4×6 or 6×4 at Walgreens for a very respectable 29 cents (price might vary by location. We don’t run the place.) per print. And, as always, these cards are 100% free but if you’d like to buy us a Slurpee, that would be great!

Going Nineteen

by But The Todd on January 13, 2012 at 5:40 PM

The time of Todash has come. The world has moved on and taken me with it.

They say there will be “Water if God wills it” and that Three is a number of power. I leave you in the company of three, with an object of great power, The Wizards Rainbow, to entice and enchant. First come smiles, then comes lies. Last is gunfire.

Thankee-sai, long days, kiss my ass and go to heaven.

A Slurpee Christmas

by But The Todd on December 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM

‘Twas the undetermined time before Christmas, and all through the convenience store,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a Colombian Bear mixed with a Boar.
The stockings were hung by the Slurpee machine with care,
In hopes that St. Nick and St. Dooie soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their footie pajamas,
While visions of blue M&M’s danced with llamas.
And my special lady friend in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
ripped open the shutters like a boss, and hopped up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid-time travel to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear?
But Uncanny X-Duders, and eight tiny wallabies’.

With two badass drivers, so lively and limp,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Dooie and St. Nick.
More rapid than lemurs and their wallabies’ they came,
And they whistled, and juggled, and called them by name;

“Now, Albert! Now, Arcee! Now, Brutus and Goldblum
On, Duder! On Jesus! On, Dante and on Randal!
To the top of the 7-11! To the top of the wall!
Now pour away! Pour away! Pour away all!”

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the Slurpee machine St. Dooie and St. Nick, came with a bound.

They spoke not a word but went straight to work,
And when they drained their Slurpees, they turned with a jerk.
And with no more frawg, they tossed the Spoon straw
And giving a nod, up the Slurpee machine they crawled.

They sprang to the sleigh, to the team they gave a squishy flop,
And away they all flew, like a fizzy soda pop.
But I heard them exclaim, as they drove out of line,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good time!”

It’s the Holidays and we won’t shy away from the ridiculous of the season. You won’t hear us pick a side between Christmas, Kwanza or those eight crazy nights of Hanukkah. We won’t bow to the Fox New’s War On Words because if you make us choose, we choose Festivus.

That said, we went ahead and made you one of the best Holiday Cards ever to hit the scene. You know the drill, download it right here.

The Nickapedia

by Nick and Dooie on October 19, 2011 at 9:50 AM

Nickapedia (Pronouced: Nik-a-pee-dee-a) just went live.

It’s our intention to replace our About page, a wiki-style comings and goings of the Yummy Universe that Nick and Dooie occupy. So from now on, when you hit the About button in the Menu above, it’s Nickapedia time.

You’ll find characters, events, and weird shit ta-boot that are interlinked with each other. A sample styling if you will:

History:

A refugee from the planet Cybertron, she crash landed in Teletran I in 1985, where she met Nick who was more than happy to reciprocate their mutual instant attraction. Sadly, Arcee has The Touch, which is an STI (Sexually Transformer Disease) and so far, there hasn’t been a second date.

Appears In:

You’ve Got The Touch 10/03/2011

This information will change over time to better reflect a growing universe and as we better settle in to our surroundings. Everything you could want to know is either here, or will be in the coming days.

So stay tuned true believers!

Nick and Dooie

Get me started with the Nickapedia!

The SlurpeeHado

by But The Todd on September 21, 2011 at 3:34 PM

Our Street Fighter Saga wasn’t nearly as successful as we would have liked and it saddens us that more of you didn’t enjoy it. You win some, you loose some. We’ll return to regular comic updates on Monday as usual.

For those of you that did enjoy it, we’ve got a treat for you. We’ll be packaging it up as an e-book for your downloading approval. We had many more updates planned for it so it’ll be a fairly decent little comic. As a PDF, this will work on your favorite laptop/desktop or your iPap.

If this works out well (meaning a good number of you download it) we plan to do these a few times a year (for free!!) that you can grab directly from our Store/Download page.

As always, we’ll let you know when this bad bitch is ready to download.

And don’t forget to enjoy a Slurpee today.

Noirblum

by But The Todd on August 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM

Welcome back!

Hopefully you made it back at any rate.

The comic today is our stab at Noir style story telling and I hope you agree that it’s visually gorgeous. We’re eager to try out new and interesting visual styles on Nick and Dooie because we have many ideas for books and comics that could benefit from these styles.

We hope you enjoy.

And as you may or may not know, some time back (shortly after we wrote this strip) when Michael Jackson died an internet rumor started floating around about Jeff dying as well. Well, he’s not dead, but he did do an awesome “Jeff Goldblum is not dead” video appearance on The Colbert Report and it was fantastic. Check it out on the Googles.

Also, I write a few other things on the internets that do pretty well for themselves. A comic called “Police State” about the rising issues with stupid laws and other petty involvment that the Government likes to bug us with.

You can check everything out over at Angry Messiah Productions.

Choose Your Own Flavor

by Nick and Dooie on July 19, 2011 at 7:53 PM

As a few of you know, Nick and Dooie are looking to make a major comeback on August 1st (keep your fingers crossed!) and we have some serious dope for our readers. Considering we’re just a few weeks out from a planned relaunch, I want to take this time to announce one of our projects coming up.

We’re writing an adventure book!

Specifically, a Choose Your Own Adventure book! And it’s gonna rock.

Rounding out around 40 pages with original art, you have your choice of reading as Nick or reading as Dooie and embarking on a multi-path, twist-able and turn-able adventure across time and space.  It’s a mixed media, interactive PDF that’s you’ll be able to read on any computer, touch phone (Android), or your favorite iDevice (iPad, iPhone) in this Universe or the next.

Did we mention that it’s 100% free? Our mistake.

IT’S 100% FREE.

You’ll be able to download it straight from our site in the Store in the Free Download section. And no worries, we’ll be posting links when it’s launched. Course, if you want, you can head to our Contact page, and email us for with the subject: Sign My Slurpin’ Ass Up and we’ll send you the eBook before everyone else. Our way of saying “Hey. We like you for liking us. Thanks.”

Many things are in store right here in the coming weeks and months and god damn, we hope to see you around.

Colin GreenHalgh – Friends of Nick and Dooie

by But The Todd on July 12, 2011 at 3:59 PM

We met this cat (and his presumably Special Lady Friend) in Des Moines, Iowa at Market Days @ the Kirkwood and we bought a lovely little piece called the Dali Imp. Colin had this massive ships Captain hat and a wonderful little booth full of awesome stuff (seriously, go check out his Etsy page but try not to buy the Green Gruzzle. Cause I want it. @ButTheTodd) that I was salivating over. Oh and he’s a generous muthafucka too. When we bought the Dali Imp, he totally threw in 2 sweet mini posters. Score! How’s that for awesome? Best part? The dude is local too. Just a jump to Iowa City, Iowa. Seeing how 3 out of 4 Team N.a.D members are Iowans, that’s pretty great. Buy local, people! Buy often.

Anywhosits, Colin has his hands in all sorts of mediums; from paints to video games (he worked on a little series called Guitar Hero. Maybe you’ve heard of it?) and he does this extremely charming thing with old thrift store stock paintings where he pops in a monster (Yup, I bought this one too) right in the background. Fucking adorable.

You can find Colin Greenhalgh all over the place but if you want to focus on this universe, I’d suggest the following contacts:

Twitta! @CuddlyColin

Websites! PixelsForBreakfast! Oh and that charming as fuck thing with the Thrift Store paintings? Right here at MonstersAbroad! Also at his personal site, Colin Greenhalgh and his video game development site, for iOS and Droid, natch’, DataMachine! Dude’s also got a Tumblr, go figure eh?

And please, buy something from this dude. Here’s his Etsy.

Enjoy your Slurpee,

But The Todd
